Rather than sweep it under the rug, CEO Ryan Cohen turned the mishap into a cultural phenomenon. GameStop auctioned the infamous stapler, the first damaged console, the preserved staple, and yes — Ryan Cohen's underwear. The condition? If bidding reached six figures, he'd include the underwear. If it hit seven figures, he'd personally deliver it over McDonald's in Miami.
